What Is Magic Tap?
The Magic Tap is a two-finger double tap anywhere on the screen while VoiceOver is on. You don’t have to land on a specific button – it’s a magic shortcut that does the most important action for what you’re doing.
When the phone is ringing or you’re on a call, the most important action is the call itself. Magic Tap can:
- Answer the call when it’s ringing
- Hang up the call when you’re done talking
On this page, you’ll practice the phone call version of Magic Tap. In real life you’d use a two-finger double tap anywhere on the screen. Here, you’ll double-tap a big practice area that acts like the whole screen.
- Turn VoiceOver ON.
- Activate the Start Phone Practice button.
- When you hear that the phone is ringing, double-tap the large Magic Tap Practice Area to answer.
- When you hear that you’re in a call, double-tap the area again to hang up.
