Really...you chose the attic? Well, you’re the leader.
You walk up the stairs and push open the door to the attic.
The ceiling isn’t as high here so you have to stoop. Much of the drywall is exposed in this room, and the rain is pounding so hard on the roof you are worried the water will come through.
Your foot kicks several spider traps, an open can of paint has aged to a solid block.
There are random tools scattered along the floor, a hammer, a screwdriver. A couple of nails roll from under your toes.
Maybe you could use some of these supplies to open the doors or gates?
Then you notice something a bit odd, even odd for an attic in a haunted mansion.
When you stepped on that floorboard, it felt like it might buckle under your weight.
Seriously! Is the flooring going to cave in now or maybe it could just be a loose floorboard?
Maybe that's why the tools were left here.
